KF-21 보라매는 KAI가 한국형전투기(KF-X)사업을 통해 개발한 4.5세대 미디엄급 초음속 전투기이다.

그리고, 대한민국 공군은 5세대 전투기에 해당하는 스텔스 기술과 6세대 전투기의 핵심 조건에 해당하는 유무인 복합체계의 기술을

접목한 진화형 업그레이드를 통해 미래 전장에도 대응할 계획이다.

The KF-21 Boramae is a 4.5-generation, medium-class supersonic fighter developed by KAI through the Korean Fighter (KF-X) project.

Furthermore, the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) plans to respond to future battlefield environments through evolutionary upgrades that integrate stealth technology characteristic of 5th-generation fighters and Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) systems, a key requirement for 6th-generation fighters.
